Bread Masala Sandwich / Spicy Mashed Potato Sandwich


This is an easy sandwich recipe which you can make it with left over potato dry curry also. But this potato masal is so easy n u can make it in a jiffy. This potato masal makes a wholesome combo with bread, for a healthy & filling breakfast with a glass of milk and fruit. I generally do not add cheese to my sandwich but its ur wish if u want u can add it. Now to the recipe..

Ingredients
  1. Bread     8 slices
  2. Potato/Aloo    2 large(boiled and mashed)
  3. Onion    1/2 (cut in length wise)
  4. Chilli powder   1/2 tsp
  5. Chat masala   1/4 tsp
  6. Curry powder   1/2 tsp
  7. Fennel seeds    1/4 tsp
  8. Chopped ginger   1/2 tsp
  9. Chopped garlic   1/2 tsp
  10. Criander leaves     5 strings(finely chopped)
  11. Salt      as needed
  12. Oil   2 tsp
For spread: butter/mayonnaise,Bell pepper slices,onion slices,tomato slices,cucumber and cheese slice also.(optional)

Method
  • Boil the potatoes and mash them and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add fennel seeds and when sputter add chopped ginger and garlic saute it and add onions and saute till it become transparent.
  • Then add all dry powders and stir fry well.
  • now add the mashed potatoes with enough salt and mix well.
  • Stir fry the potato masala for 2 minutes and lastly add some chopped coriander leaves.
  • Its done..now the potato masala is ready for the sandwich.
  • Heat a tawa and toast the bread lightly.
  • Transfer the toasted bread slices to the serving plate and take 2 spoons of potato masala stuff , keep it on one slice and place vegetable slices and cover with other slice and Serve.
  • This time made sandwich using Panini Grill as grilled sandwich.
